UNFAIR AMSTERDAM
For the art fair Unfair Amsterdam I have entered into an interdisciplinary collaboration. Following my graduation it has always been my wish to work together with other disciplines within the arts. Within this work the jewelry pieces described as occult relics are created by artist Boris de Beijer and I am responsible for the architectural seats.
During this project I have taken the artist's concept into consideration and created a presentation that relates to the concept behind the objects.
Through the use of elegant seats of sleek design, of which a number are covered with velour, reference is made to both the occult discoveries and to a natural-history museum exhibition of the future.
As the jewelry pieces are described as heads, I have designed the seats in such a manner that viewer comes to stand eye to eye with the work. The collection also features twin heads sharing a single seat.
